HALF OF WHAT? so im in gaygm which turns out is my least favourite class this year. Seriously i like maths better than this shit. I wanna do web stuff, and he doesnt even really teach us how to use this 3D software.

apart from that, Sixth forms pretty sweet. Ten twenty start makes the whole day feel better, and i really like photog and journo so far. I'm doing aight in maths even though i cant understand my teacher. My english teacher has a beard and is very firstyearteaching but nice enough, my class seem like retards right now though.

Parties are really happening right now huh, its birthday SEASONNN. i didnt go to aarons, according to some people it was like "so fcuvking colol" but they were pretty gone, and lots of people didnt like it.
At anthonys, on friday, while in a state of semi intoxication (SCHMAAAAL WASTTTEDDD) i left the love of my life (my fill to the brim 5th gen 30 gig Video ipod, with about 7.5k songs on it) on a stereo, coming back twenty minutes later, it was gone, and noones seen it yet.

My 16ths coming up (YUSSS) and i saw like a 400 dollar DSLR in an ad today, im so gonna try and get that shit, it was a fujifilm. I wanna get back inta photography. My nice haired friend is sitting diagonally across the classroom from me, as always, HI LEK HOW ARE YOU?

Also, on the weekend, my wow account got hackzored, all my gear disenchanted and sold, aand all my enchanting mats sold (about 1.5k gold worth). Blizz gave back my gear.

I lost my freaking flash drive with all my dgm stuff on it so im currently starting from scratch mother fuckerrr.

Mac V PC

Theres alot of talk around the internet about Macs Vs PCs. What do i use? PC through and through, i run Windows XP (vista sucks - and i'm too lazy too work out all my software for linux), Firefox for browsing, (IE sucks HARD - this is one of the reasons why people get viruses more on PCs than macs. the other reason is because making a virus for a mac is kind of like making a virus for a digital watch) Adobe Creative Suite for web design, photo editing, video editing, design (cross platform - doesnt really run different on macs, although probably slower), iTunes for music (didn't say they made bad software) and i use VLC for video viewing. Everything else i generally find a program thatll run on my PC. I think, once i've ran into a program thats only for macs. Yet how much software only runs on a PC (or linux if you figure it out)? I read an estimate saying that 88% of all software will only run on a PC. People immediately say "oh then i just run bootcamp." Fuck that, i dont wanna have to change OSes to run some program. Have you ever noticed everyone who has a mac uses bootcamp or the like, but i don't know anyone who runs a virtual mac program.

Now, People always seem to think that Macs are for "the design/arty type", ie the left wing, liberal side of computer users. WAIT WHAT?! A company thats proud to say they produce all their own software and hardware? Thats anti diversity. Thats creating a monopoly. Thats pure right wing strategy. PCs arent toys, they are machines, Macs look nicer (externally), than most PCs but if you wanna change the outward appearence of your PC, or ANYTHING about your PC, you can do it.Games going slow? Buy and install a new video card. Games going slow on your mac? OH WAIT THERES HARDLY ANY GAMES ON MAC. One of the few games on a mac going slow? (Blizzard games and uhm, ah, um.) Um, BUY A NEW MAC! Just chuck out your old one. Yeah thats real left wing and carbon friendly.

The latest top of the line mac boasts it has 3.2 ghz processing power. OH WOW 3.2? you know i got 3.3 GHz on my PC i brought two years ago for less than half the cost of that mac....intresting.

I'll admit it, microsoft sucks half the time. But microsoft dont make computers, microsoft make software.

OS wise? I've used both, whenever i try to do something near the bottom of the screen to dock menu pops up in my face and i accidentaly open some program, but i cant see its open cos i have no taskbar, so changing windows is a bit of a mission. (dont say move the menu to the top/sides, ill just get the same problem) You lack a start menu and the multidude of operations a PC user can perform with a right click. Also everything seems slower. I was using my friends Mac (think it was an iMac, not sure) and suddenly everything lagged, i would type something and it would take 5 minutes to appear on screen. I asked him if this happened alot, he replied: "well of course it's slow look how much stuff you have open at the same time!"
I had, iTunes open playing music, one safari window open on myspace, and 2 MSN convos running. thats right, i was overclocking this computer by talking to my friends listening to music and surfing the internet WELCOME TO THE FUTURE OF COMPUTERS. On my current mid to low range PC i usually have all those things going, but several tabs in Firefox, and World Of Warcraft running.

Apple have a good design team, the iPod is revoulutionary, beautiful easy to use, and runs fine with my PC.

Apple, keep doing this, stop trying to make people use computers all running the same software you fascist pigs. Dont try to make me DL safari when i get iTunes updated, i use Firefox for a reason.

Oh, and don't categorize me as some old geek because i like to be able to run software from different developers on MY computer, and i like to be able to customize my computer to suit my needs.

Tell me, loyal mac users, what i would gain by switching?

So, i'm currently in music, and yeah, i've failed every music assesment so far this year, Solo piece? FAIL, Compose piece? FAIL, Musical Knowledge Seminar? FAIL.
I'm reworking my compose piece (it's a lullaby) for an achieved. (think C)I thought i had it good, it had a piano, 2 acoustic guitars, a harp, and a mezzo singer. My music teacher had "a quick edit" and now its a piano and two acoustic guitars.

meh still sounds alright. sibelius is fucking lame though, makes everything sounds like a shitty midi keyboard.

Donnie Darko is my favourite movie of all time. Fullstop. The intriguingly sci fi story, complex production, amazing acting all came together to make in my opinion the greatest movie of all time. But anyway, they're making a sequel.

When I first saw this i was so so so excited, then i saw that

Richard Kelly (Writer/Director of First Film) has NO part in making it.
The only Actor coming back is Daviegh Chase (his little sister).
It's only about his sister.

Sequels usually suck, and i think this is gonna suck hard. Chris Fisher is directing (Nightstalker) and i really can't see him making the Donnie Darko universe any better, or even making a film that comes close to the amazing original.

The plot seems to be, Samantha Darko is driving across the desert in 1995 with her friends and wierd shit happens. Sounds very shitty sequel to me.

Sequels that don't have the main charachter, SUCK. That's just how it is.
I'm really dissapointed, I liked "Southland Tales" a bit (Richard Kelly's newer film) but not really that much, and i would have very much liked for him to return to direct at least. }

The new director had this to say:

“I am a great admirer of Richard Kelly’s film and hope to create a similar world of blurred fantasy and reality. Donnie’s not in [the new film] but there are meteorites and rabbits.”

Sophies World (some philosophy)

I read a book recently called Sophie's World, By Jostein Gaarder, and it was a extraordinary novel that was quite badly written. The premise is, a young girl named Sophie is sent two strange letters. One has the questions: "Who Are You? and Where Does the world come from?" and another is a strange letter about a girl named Hilde's birthday. Sophie begins receiving a correspondence philosophy course from a elusive individual who sent the first letter and continues receiving strange letters about Hilde. The plot thickens, into the realms of meta fiction but basically its an introduction to philosophy disguised as a children's book. I recommend most people read it, if only for the philosophy value, however the writing is in parts terrible, the dialogue is paper thin (half the words sophie utters revolve around:"you'll have to explain that") but then in the end the bad writing actually kind of makes sense, although possibly not on purpose. The twist is good, but i was a little dissapointed by the end.

But anyway off the book and onto philosophy. I'm gonna ask a question, and your gonna answer it, in the comments.

Many people know of torrents and albumhuntlike sites for downloading music, but they lack a (free) option for an individual song. There is nothing more annoying than getting a whole album for a single. The best way, i find is to either

find it on youtube, then use vixy.net or the like, to convert the video to an MP3 format.

OR

find it on the bands myspace (better for less mainstream bands) then use file2hd.com to download the song.

Halo Games

WTF is with the gaming communities obsesesion with the Halo games? Halo is a standard, quite fun, FPS game. But thats what it is, standard. It doesn't break gameplay boundaries (Half-Life breaks boundaries) and it doesn't bring super amazing graphics into play. (Like Crysis)

It's probably just my bias because it's made by microsoft, who are awesome and shit at the same time.

The multiplayer for Halo 3 is pretty good, but the twiddly little xbox controllers make it pretty hard to aim if your used to a good ol keyboard and mouse.
What happened to PC games anyway? Now all we have is world of arenacraft and games that are on every console.

The cans festival is a graffiti/stencil art show that is shown underneath the waterloo station. It was organised by notorious (and AMAZING) street artist Banksy. One of my favourites was the kid drawing KFP (kentucky fried pigeons). KFC btws, are horrible horrible people. The security wore yellow overcoats charachteristically worn by policemen, but instead of "Police" on the back, they had "Polite".
